I love illustrating the native plants from my home here in the Pacific Northwest. For some of my work I use a pen and ink stippling style as well as graphite and watercolor. I like the look of the pen and ink when it is “colorized”. It reminds me of the old hand colored sepia tinted photographs before the days of color photography. Nowadays I can get the same affect using my computer, though I still have to spend a lot of time creating the color shapes to “tint” the pen and ink illustrations. But I think it is worth it for the end result. I hope you think so too?

You can purchase Pacific northwest native plants in card, print and towel formats in the shop.
